1. For your school project paper, share the topic and your view, collect opinion responses and Like statistics, and use that as materials for your paper. Solid as gold. Social media mature as a research platform.

Thanks to iPad, content people can leverage the hardware hype for previously free but now paid subscription. Since the eyeball biz model kicked off with advertisement revenue, journalism, movies, music, and even software become FREE in return for "potentially" large enough eyeballs/clicks/LIKES for the advertisement dollars. That's suicidal.  But isn't it true that advertisement has been the revenue source for journalism for ages?

Quality content should command a value. Leveraging the Pad hype is not a cure. Supply and demand is.

I was surprised many still believe only BlackBerry phones can synchronize their email operation like delete with their server side mailbox. In fact, iPhone Mail and Android Mail with IMAP support can do the same very well with Zimbra backend for example.

Zimbra can offer on top a desktop client which again does the same, sync everything, on top of having a copy of all your emails on your desktop if you so wish.

BlackBerry messaging definitely has its edge but definitely NOT exclusive, and you can let go of the Blackberry Enterprise Server as a gateway interfacing to non-BB world.

IMO.IM - better than Fring and Nimbuzz

I've tried Fring and Nimbuzz on Android, only getting worse. Logon to Skype takes ages. I thought it was Skype problem. Today, after trying out IMO.IM, I know it's not Skype's fault. IMO.IM logs on Skype fast. Perhaps light weight really is the killer feature of all apps nowadayds.
